Start the simulation (only in Netscape 3.0 +) by clicking [Start Simulation]. The simulation runs for 60 sec. You may run it any number of times, or stop it at any time The simulation area is 50 by 15 unit cells and the "animal" moves at 1 unit/move, and moves are no faster than 5 millisec, depending on your computer's speed. Animal speed is computed in real time based on move units/time elapsed. Average expected encounter rate per minute is based on the number of cells visited in a minute times the number of 0's / the total cell area.
