(Hymenoptera: Formicidae) Lasius ant tending aphids, Torsby, Värmland (Sweden). These ants in June 2000
somehow found their way into my 1985 Volvo and were crawling around during my 3 week camping/research stay (11 June to 1 July 2000).
This is the first time in 10 years that this happened, maybe because the grass was longer, maybe because it rained so much and
they were attracted to the shelter, or maybe because I've got a few rusty holes in my car doors now (but they
did not seem to be coming in this way). A few were still crawling around my car on 15 July back in Lund, I guess they
will never find their way home.
