Rhagium inquisitor L. on Scotch pine. This cerambycid beetle (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) is called the "barklöpare" in Swedish (bark runner). The beetle is 12 to 18 mm long. The beetle feeds on both Norway spruce and Scots pine. The beetle often runs rather fast and then stops as if very inquisitive (hence the name). A similar beetle is Rhagium mordax (Degeer, 1775).
