Software - John A. Byers
All software for DOS (Windows 3.1/95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP but not VISTA). ZIP files must be unzipped before use, or you may download my general setup program JB-SETUP.EXE 50K which will install any of the program systems below. NVIDIA video hardware is not compatible with 16-bit BASIC (error will result back in Windows: "The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction CS:9198 IP:0005 OP:0f:00 00 00 00 Chose 'Close' to terminate the application") - If this happens, you must use DOSBOX emulation software downloaded at www.dosbox.com or get an ATI video card (I did the latter). So far most computers are backward compatible but my NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405 display adapter caused BASIC screen 12 to crash programs so I replaced this adapter with an ATI card (or S3 video card) to fix the problem.
